We will leave early, at 5 AM going to the Adolpho Ducke Botanical Garden. It was created on October 24, 2000, and is located on the edge of Adolpho Ducke Biological Reserve. It has 5 square kilometers of area, distributed over a range of 500 meters wide by 6 km in length along the southern border and 4 km along the western edge of the Reserve. Currently, this is a largest forest in the urban area. It has a tower 42 meters high, galvanized steel. The tower allows a privileged view above the treetops, firm, stable, wide and safe structure with a capacity to accommodate 15 persons. We go watch birds in the tower until the 9 AM. After, we will go down to snack and we will go to Iranduba driving a car and stopping at edge of the paved highway.

 

Let's make stops on the roadside to watch birds in the ponds and lakes which form this time of year and of the forest edge. Then we make other stops in other spots along the highway. At 11 AM we will stop at the restaurant for to lunch. After lunch, at about 1:30 PM PM we go to down the bridge over the Ariau river and we will take a motorized canoe. We will watch birds in the canoe along of Rio Ariau, around of the forest and inside of igapó flooded's forest (depending of year season) making frequent stops all afternoon. Among the birds we will can watch in this tour, are:

 

Great Tinamou, Horned Screamer, White-faced Whistling-Duck, Muscovy Duck, Buff-browed Chachalaca, Black Curassow, Agami Heron, Capped Heron, Little Blue Heron, Lesser Yellow-headed Vulture, Greater Yellow-headed Vulture, King Vulture, Gray-headed Kite, Double-toothed Kite, Snail Kite, Slender-billed Kite, Slate-colored Hawk, Sunbittern, Azure Gallinule, Sungrebe, Scarlet Macaw, Blue-and-yellow Macaw, Green-rumped Parrotlet, Red Fan Parrot, Tui Parakeet, Orange-winged Parrot, Hoatzin, Greater Ani, Black-tailed Trogon, Black-fronted Nunbird, Ringed Woodpecker, Cream-colored Woodpecker, Striped Woodcreeper, Zimmer's Woodcreeper, Long-billed Woodcreeper, Pale-breasted Spinetail, Yellow-chinned Spinetail, Red-and-white Spinetail, Bare-necked Fruitcrow, Pompadour Cotinga, Spangled Cotinga, Plum-throated Cotinga, Yellow-browed Tody-Flycatcher, Dull-capped Attila, Lesser Kiskadee, Black-capped Donacobius, Hooded Tanager, Masked Crimson Tanager, Red-capped Cardinal, Russet-backed Oropendola, Green Oropendola, Oriole Blackbird, Red-breasted Blackbird. With luck, we can to watch: Crested Eagle, Harpy Eagle, Ornate Hawk-Eagle and others.

Registration: For register yourself, please request include your name in the list and confirm your participation. Price subject to change because of change in the dollar.

 

Group Size: The Group Size is limited from 01 to 07 participants, dislocating by car in paved road, sleeping in Inn, conditioned air and TV, on double ocupation. For a privative tour, please contact us.

Included:This program includes transfers in Manaus plus 4 days and 3 nights, all meal, sleeping in comfortable Lodge on double ocupation, conditioned air, bilingual birding guide services, full board and outings as described.
