Comes with us go Birding at Tupana Lodge. Amazon Tupana Lodge is situated in the Madeira–Purus interfluvium, south of the Amazon, it offers basic but not inexpensive accommodation near of road from Manaus to Porto Velho. It takes roughly four hours to reach the lodge from Manaus, including ferry-boat crossings. The accommodation is simple, clean and adequate; power is supplied by a generator and the lodge has a trail system, although there are few different trails that you can easily cover. We depart from Manaus at 6 o’clock until the Port of Ceasa. We will take a boat, crossing the "Meeting of the Waters", a phenomenon in which the dark waters of the Rio Negro meet the white and dense waters of the Solimões and 6 Km run together without mixing. Arriving in Port of Careiro Varzea, follow the BR-319 highway, stopping at lakes to the roadside to watch birds. Our journey takes on average 3 ½ hours until the Tupana Lodge. We will stop at Km 178 on the BR-319, 'the banks of the River Tupana, where a boat awaits the inn. We will take about 15 minutes to the Lodge. Check-In will do and then we will have lunch. After our arrived, in the Afternoon, we will watch birds around the lodge and the forest edge.
In this Birdtrip, we go watching in (1) roadside going to the Tupana Lodge, (2) walking in trails inside Terra firme forest, (3) along Tupana River in igapo flooded forest and (4) around of the Tupana Lodge.
Birdwatching at Tupana Lodge, early-morning provide especially, produced reasonably regular sightings of Kawall’s Amazon kawalli, Scarlet-shouldered Parrotlet Touit huetii, Short-tailed Parrot Graydidascalus brachyurus, Chestnut-capped Bucco macrodactylus and White-necked Puffbirds Notharcus hyperrhynchus, many tanagers, including the rare Dotted Tanager (Tangara varia), White-browed Purpletuft (Iodopleura isabellae), Chestnut Woodpecker (Celeus elegans jumana) and Scaly-breasted Woodpeckers, White-browed Hawk, Curl-crested Aracari, Black Antbird and Peruvian Warbling Antbird. White-throated Antbird (Gymnopithys salvini), Scale-backed Antbird (Hylophylax poecilinotus), Sooty Antbird (Myrmeciza fortis), Hairy-crested Antbird (Rhegmatorhina melanosticta), Elegant Woodcreeper, Hoffmann’s Woodcreeper, Pearly Antshrike, Undulated Antshrike.
Go Bird watching at Tupana Lodge provide watch large mixed-species flocks, Citron-bellied Attila, Pompador Cotinga, Purple-breasted and Spangled Cotinga, White-throated Tinamou, Starred Wood-Quail, Humaita Antbird, Reddish-winged Bare-eye, Glossy-backed Becard, Brown-banded Puffbird, Rufous Potoo, Bar-bellied Woodcreeper, Pavonine Quetzal, Cinnamon Tyrant, Guianan Gnatcatcher and Chestnut-shouldered Antwren and others. All participants must prepare themselves reading detailed the general conditions for the tour, Diary itinerary and other information about the Birdtour requested.
Registration: For register yourself, please request include your name in the list and confirm your participation. Price subject to change because of change in the dollar.
Group Size: The Group Size is limited from 02 to 10 participants, dislocating by car in paved road, sleeping in Inn with fan, on double ocupation. For a privative tour, please contact us.

Included:This program includes transfers in Manaus plus 4 days and 3 nights, all meal, sleeping in comfortable Lodge on double ocupation, conditioned air, bilingual birding guide services, full board and outings as described.
Not Included: Airfare, overnight in Manaus, beverages, medical costs or hospitalization, insurance, personal expenses as laundry and phone calls.
