It is an island of silt that was formed by deposition of sediments carried from the Andes for many years. This island has a variety of specialties found only in this interesting habitat. Most of these birds are dependent of secondary vegetation that changed, according to the composition and structure through time. As the vegetation matures, one special bird after another drops out, moving to more suitable habitat on younger islands. We will depart from Manaus at 5:00 am from fluvial port, and we spending a full day exploring the island. For this tour we will take a snack and water for the day all.
